So now I must nominate 11 more blogs I like with under 200 followers and answer the questions put to me by Zoey. The blogs I nominate should do the same and answer my questions for them. This is a first for me because my blog is mostly images I try to write as little as possible!
1. What is your blog about?
It’s a place for me to post my illustrations so hopefully that can be seen by a wider audience. I want to become a professional illustrator eventually!
2. What made you start this blog?
In University we were encouraged to start our own illustration blogs as soon as possible, and I’m so glad they did. There’s been times when I’ve neglected it or not drawn or painted for months since I left University, the blog has been an encouragement for me to continue. Especially in the past few months, my blog and my work has really come on leaps and bounds!
3. Why do you think people should visit it?
I think most people who love to look at art or illustration or do it themselves would like to look at my blog. Obviously my work won’t be everyones taste but that’s fine. I hope it can inspire some people.
4. Is there something you’ve learned so far though blogging you want to share?
Tag your posts so more people can see them!
5. Where do you get your inspiration from?
People, fashion, books, nature, music, film…anywhere there’s the potential for creativity. I love patterns and intricate things and tiny details and colour.
6. Tell us a dream you want to accomplish.
To walk into a bookshop one day and pick up a book with my words and illustrations inside!
7. Best experience through blog so far?
Getting a lovely comment from someone is always a great feeling, also since I started tagging my posts a few months ago I’ve got so many more followers so it’s nice to feel I’m making progress!
8. What are your hobbies apart from blogging?
Reading, watching films, shopping, sewing, cooking, trying to learn French!
9. Tell us one thing you could not live without.
Tea…and possibly my boyfriend! And a bed.
10. Places you want to visit?
New Zealand, The Balkans, Hawaii, New York, California, Morocco, Thailand, Austria, Canada…the list goes on. At the moment I’m living in South Korea working as an English Teacher but next a want to live in France and learn to speak fluent French. I just visited Tokyo last month and it was wonderful! As a Ghibli fan I’ve wanted to visit Japan for many years and it did not disappoint.
11. What is your next move with your blog?
Juts keep going! Hopefully upgrade to premium at some point and send my work to some companies who might be interested, card companies, magazines etc.
